So what makes a good, diabetes-friendly dinner? That answer may look a little different for everyone, but here are the basic guidelines I like to follow.

First, I look for recipes that are relatively low in carbs, which means less than 20 grams of carbs per serving. I also aim for carbs with a low glycemic index. Next, I want to make sure there’s a healthy serving of protein to help you feel full and satisfied. I aim for 20 grams of protein or higher.
